Frank Thomas
Frank Thomas has been with the company since 1977. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA. Frank started his career at Genstar in Calgary as Senior Engineer and subsequently held various positions of progressive responsibility.
After assuming the position of President and Chief Executive Officer, in 1994 Frank relocated the Genstar Corporate Office to San Diego. In 2001 he founded GDC Communities to acquire Genstar Development Company from its parent company, and to provide a foundation for new U.S. investments and operations.
Paul Boskovich
Paul Boskovich is well known as a development industry leader. He has been a high performer and key player in his time with Genstar making significant contributions since 2007 in Genstar’s Calgary Region. Paul has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. He is also a board member of the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) for the Calgary Region.
Mike Kilgallon
Mike started his career with Genstar in the Vancouver office in 1974 and became re-associated with the company in 2008. From Liverpool, he earned a Civil Engineering degree and an MBA from the University of British Columbia. Having developed property throughout the United States early in his career, he settled in Atlanta and has been one of the most active developers in the region for many years.
Raminder Brar
Raminder Brar joined Genstar in 2015 and is responsible for financial reporting/planning, budgeting, taxation, treasury, and risk management. Raminder has 20 years of professional experience across several industries with a focus on real estate. Raminder has a Master of Professional Accounting designation from the University of Saskatchewan and is a Chartered Professional Accountant, CA. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba with a focus on Accounting and Finance.
Dave Waters
Dave manages Genstar’s California real estate investments, from locating new opportunities to managing the entitlement process and development programs. Dave has a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and is a 2018 Candidate for a Master’s of Science in Executive Leadership from the University of San Diego. Dave has been with Genstar since 2008.
Leigh Melnychuk
Leigh joined Genstar in 2016 and brings a specialized financial background to the company after 10 years in commercial banking, most recently with the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). Leigh has a Bachelor in Management/Finance from the University of Lethbridge. Leigh brings a strong network of developer and builder clients in the Edmonton Region.
Marcello Chiacchia
Marcello is a professional engineer and has tenure with Genstar dating back to 1992. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary. He oversees the development of all Calgary communities and brings a wealth of knowledge and development insight to the Calgary Region. Marcello has led the development of several award-winning communities including Panorama Hills, Calgary’s largest development.
Ray Cunliffe
Ray, an Edmonton native, has been associated with Genstar since 2008. Ray has a MBA from Florida International University and a very strong foundation of development knowledge and financial acumen. He works closely with Michael Kilgallon, President of Atlanta Communities where they are among the most active real estate developers in the region.
Dave Boles
Dave Boles has been with the company since 2008. He holds a Master’s in Planning from the University of Guelph and an MBA from the University of Manitoba. Dave is a professional urban planner and has a long record of accomplishments with Genstar in the Winnipeg Region. Dave furthers a legacy of strong leadership and brings a strong foundation of development knowledge to the Winnipeg Region.
Amy Taguchi
Amy is a seasoned finance professional with a wealth of experience spanning over 18 years in accounting across several industries, specializing in real estate. Joining Genstar in 2011, she has played a pivotal role in financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and treasury. Amy has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Salisbury University and is a Certified Public Accountant. She brings a robust skill set and a deep understanding of financial management to her role.
Evan Fowler
Evan Fowler joined Genstar in 2017 and is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, financing, treasury, HR and risk management. Evan has 20 years of professional experience across several industries with a focus on publicly traded REITs and private equity real estate. Evan has a Master of Business Administration designation from the University of Georgia and is a Certified Public Accountant, CPA. Evan completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of South Alabama with a focus on Accounting and International Marketing. Evan is originally from South Africa, attended the University of South Alabama on a tennis scholarship and represented South Africa multiple times for tennis.
